Fresh features to help you find the right spot faster

We have been busy making DiaperSpot more useful for parents on the go. Whether you are nursing, potty training, or just need a quick diaper change, these updates are designed to get you to the right spot faster.

A cleaner Discover tab

The map is now front and center. Filters are tucked away until you need them, so you can scan for nearby spots without extra clutter. Tap the Filters bar to expand your options, or leave it collapsed and just browse the map. On mobile, this means more room to see what is around you.

New restroom types: Nursing and Training

Not every stop is about diapers. We added two new restroom types to help parents at different stages:

Nursing rooms are dedicated spaces for breastfeeding or pumping. They typically offer privacy, a comfortable seat, and sometimes an outlet for breast pumps. If you have found a great nursing room, you can now tag it so other parents can find it too.

Training restrooms are spots that work well for toddlers learning to use the toilet. These might have a smaller toilet, a step stool, or just enough space for a parent to help. Potty training on the road is stressful enough without guessing which restroom will work.

You can filter by these types on the Discover tab, and you will see them labeled on spot cards so you know what to expect before you arrive.

Resources for businesses

We added a new Resources page for businesses that want to support families. It includes guidance on what parents look for in a changing station, tips for signage and maintenance, and information about claiming and verifying locations.

DiaperSpot is free for parents. Always. Businesses can optionally verify their locations to keep details accurate, but it never affects ratings or rankings. If you run a family-friendly spot, check out the Resources page to learn more.

Blog improvements

The blog now supports tags and search, making it easier to find articles on specific topics like travel tips, twins, or founder stories. We are planning more content in the coming months, so bookmark the Community page to stay in the loop.

New Native Apps coming soon

We are working on native applications for iOS and Android that focus more on the main function of the app, finding and adding spots. Stay tuned for updates!
